Rocky Jones spent much of his life fighting for social justice for Black and Indigenous people in Canada; his was a strong voice in the areas of human rights, race and poverty. The Black Employee Resource Network has created The Rocky Jones Community Leadership Award to honour his legacy.

Open to full or part-time students who will be enrolled in any year of study in any program at any campus.

Eligibility

Application assessment will consider:

  • Financial need
  • Leadership in the community through extra-curricular activities and/or volunteerism
  • Self-identification: African Nova Scotia or of African Descent (Black, African Canadian or African American)
